Okay i got it up and installed
now when i get it running it says that i "Cannot Connect to the remote server"
i have all my firewalls down and my internet is running fine -
re-enable firewalls, give AALogReader.exe internet access if the firewall asks you what to do.
Can you see the following page: http://88.198.194.29/AAUP_WebService/MainService.asmx ? -
ya i can reach the page and i re enabled the firewalls but it still wont owrk
-
Which firewall are you using? See if AAUP or AALogReader.exe is on the firewalls exception list, if it's there remove it.
-
im not really using a firewall exept the one that comes with windows... andn i have Mozilla Firefox
-
Looking at the original error message again and since you can reach the server AAUP is connecting to by browsing to it I suspect a proxy server is somewhere present on the network you are connected to. Are you connecting from a home, college, work, ... network?
Open FireFox -> Tools -> Options -> Advanced ->Network/Connections -> Settings -> Make a screenshot of that and post it here please.
-
I just have the box checked that says "Direct connection to the internet"
-
How about my first question? Do you use FireFox to surf the internet?
-
ya its a home computer
-
Ok, Start -> Run -> type: cmd -> type: tracert 88.198.194.29
Make a screenshot of the command prompt (cmd) when the trace is complete and post it here.

Are you behind a router or modem? If so does AAUP work when connecting directly to the internet without the router/modem? Are there any proxy settings in the router/modem?
-
im just running througha modem no proxies or anything
-
Please contact the network administrator or your ISP (internet service provider) and ask them if your connection is behind a proxy server. If it is ask them for the IP address and login credentials.
