major do i have to uninstall old net framework 1 , 2 and 3 i still have them in my add and remove programmes ?

Hi i keep getting an error message when i try to install AAup with the Net Framework 3.5 its not actually the AAup thats the problem its the net framework wont install just says an error occured while installing. Why i need it is because my AA wont work with new patch and some1 replied to my post on the AA forum heres a link to my problem
