No you can leave those installed (it's best to leave them installed as other applications may use those versions of .NET FrameWork)

Installing .NET FrameWork 3.5 manually should solve it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en
If it doesn't you'll need to wait till tommorow, which is when I'll release the new version of AAUP which no longer requires .NET FrameWork 3.5. -
I'll make some changes in the next version of AAUP which should resolve this issue. Will do my best to release an update by tommorow.

If you can reach that page I don't really see a reason why AAUP is crashing, which OS (xp, Vista, etc) are you using?
-
Ok looks like we are pinning down the problem. Can you reach this page: http://beta.k2-solutions.eu/AAUP_WebService/MainService.asmx ?
-
If you open AAUP again now does it still happen? If it does, are you behind a proxy server?
-
Make sure you are connected to the internet and that firewalls aren't blocking AAUP. If that's the case and it's still throwing that error do this:
TracerT Route Request Prompt
- Click Start, Run and type: cmd
- Then type: tracert beta.k2-solutions.eu
- After the tracert says "complete", right-click in the window and select all
- Click [Blocked Image: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t117/hermannme/cmd.jpg] and choose copy, then paste in a forum reply

Hello,
Which internet browser are you using (IE6, IE7, FF2, FF3, etc)?
Try using the following link to install AAUP: http://k2-solutions.eu/America…y/AALogReader.application. When clicking this link a window should popup asking you to install. -
Your America's Army installation is corrputed, you'll need to run AAUP to repair it.
Manual: America's Army Utility Package - Manual -
Update released. (0.5.3.0)
-
After doing some more research I've pinpointed the issue, with v 0.5.2.9 this is partially resolved. AAUP v 0.5.3.0 will resolve this issue completely.
-
Ok I think I pinpointed the problem. Currently AAUP requires the filename to be exactly ArmyOps.log (case sensitive), anything different will result in an error message.
I'll update aaup later today and remove some of the restrictions (case sensitive will be removed). -
I'll look into this asap, if it's a problem with AAUP I'll release a patch (0.5.3.0) today.
(AAUP checks for updates when you open it) -
You have to select the file itself + the file needs to be called ArmyOps.log.
-
Moving to AAUP support.
-
I just tested it on Vista 64bit.
Do you have Vista 32 or 64 bit?Edit: confirmed to be working on all editions of Vista.
Please try reinstalling AAUP.
-
Please make a screenshot of the error message and post it here.
-
Good to hear.
Thank youbtw suggestions for new features are always welcome

Did you leave the quotes around %userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps? If not leave them in the command.
Or simply browse to C:\Documents and Settings\student\Local Settings\Apps replace student with the name of your windows account. If this folder isn't visible do this:
Open a folder -> click Tools -> Folder Options -> Views -> Show hidden files and foldersIf that doesn't work I'll need some more information as to when you are getting this error. During installation of .NET Framework 3.5, during installation of AAUP, when starting AAUP?
-
Under Win Xp: Start -> Run ... -> type: "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps" -> hit enter/return
Delete all folders/files located in the folder that just opened. After this reinstall AAUP.
