Are you behind a router or modem? If so does AAUP work when connecting directly to the internet without the router/modem? Are there any proxy settings in the router/modem?
-
Ok, Start -> Run -> type: cmd -> type: tracert 88.198.194.29
Make a screenshot of the command prompt (cmd) when the trace is complete and post it here.

How about my first question? Do you use FireFox to surf the internet?
-
Looking at the original error message again and since you can reach the server AAUP is connecting to by browsing to it I suspect a proxy server is somewhere present on the network you are connected to. Are you connecting from a home, college, work, ... network?
Open FireFox -> Tools -> Options -> Advanced ->Network/Connections -> Settings -> Make a screenshot of that and post it here please.

Which firewall are you using? See if AAUP or AALogReader.exe is on the firewalls exception list, if it's there remove it.
-
re-enable firewalls, give AALogReader.exe internet access if the firewall asks you what to do.
Can you see the following page: http://88.198.194.29/AAUP_WebService/MainService.asmx ? -
My mistake this isn't a bug in AAUP looks like the .NET config file became corrupted. What you'll need to do is uninstall any .NET FrameWork version installed using Add/Remove programs. After that delete this folder: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET
When done you should be able to install AAUP (click the install button on the page, launch won't work)

Thanks for reporting, give me 20 minutes or so for a quick bugfix patch.
I wonder how that bug slipped in there

AAUP v 0.5.4.0 released. Let me know if you still have problems.

The new version of AAUP hasn't been released yet, I am close to wrapping it up and releasing it to the public but it needs a bit more testing. If all goes well (I don't expect any problems) it'll be released before 11:30 pm GMT+1. -
Sorry but I didn't make it yesterday, there are still a couple of bugs to fix, a new version of AAUP will be released today.

Start -> Run -> type "cmd" (without the quotes) and hit enter -> type: tracert k2-solutions.eu
Post the results here. -
This error indicates DNS problems, see if you can ping k2-solutions.eu and beta.k2-solutions.eu.

Hello,
This should do it:
Repair America's Army -> Repair Registry -> Browse to your America's Army folder -> Select the version of the game you have currently installed from the dropdown box and click Repair Registry.
(You might need to restart AAUP for changes to take effect.) -
Are you behind a proxy server? Firewall causing trouble?

Can you try it again please. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll zip the files for you.
